hugdrugs asked: for the mustache cookies, did you make those? i wanna know the recipe.. lol

I used my basic sugar cookie recipe and then topped them with a cocoa buttercream.  Here’s my recipes:

Ingredients

2 sticks butter

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup sugar

2 tsp baking powder

3 cups all purpose flour

Directions

Cream first 4 ingredients until smooth.  Add flour and baking powder until combined.

Chill dough for a couple hours, then roll out into a sheet just less than a quarter inch thick and cut out all your shapes.

Bake at 400 degrees for 8-12 minutes or until dry on top.  Don’t overbake!  Use parchment paper on cookie sheet and either leave on sheet to cool or carefully slide parchment sheet onto a cooling rack.  Either way, don’t try to pick up the cookies until cool.

Frosting:

2 sticks softened butter

4 cups confectioners sugar

1 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla

1/3 cup milk

Cream all ingredients until light and fluffy, approx 5 minutes.
