Pumpkin Cream Pie with Graham Cracker Crust
Inspired by The Pioneer Woman
Mostly so I remember, many of PWs recipes look and sound great, but in order to make them work, you’ve got to trust your gut. This pie was loose and bland in both crust and filling.
I like the variation from the dense, heavy pumpkin pie, but the filling need to be thickened significantly, and the graham cracker crust would be far more complimentary and easier to plate if I’d used my preferred crust which includes roasted almonds and toffee bits. There’s always next year.
